WHO IS
BIBOUL?
He has escaped the standardization
that academic study of rhythm and its mysteries often entails.
To this day, Biboul Darouiche has
retained the immediacy of expression,
but also the versatility
of a musician driven by curiosity
and the joy of discovery ...

The album, "Message from the Trees" tells stories about Bibouls ancestors and the present generation. They talk about joy, sorrow and brotherhood. The Bantu tribe lives in the rainforest. It nourishes, protects and heals them. The trees are the guardians of their past and the guide to their future. They embody the wisdom of life. Biboul sings in Ewondo, his mother tongue, English and French. His singing, percussion and calimba playing, supported by the highclass performing ability of the band, conveys a warm atmosphere, that shows you artfully the fusion of african music and jazz. The interaction in this formation allows a wide variety of improvisation, giving Biboul´s music a bigger spectrum on a higher musical level.
